ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque police say they are searching for two women who tried to rob a Dunkin Donuts wearing trash bags.
KRQE-TV reports that the women recently walked into the doughnut shop near the University of New Mexico donning trash bags over their bodies and demanded cash.
But store owner Greg Beliveau said the cashier recognized the two women who had come in moments earlier to buy doughnuts and to borrow the cashier's phone to call a cab.
Police say the trashy would-be robbers were immediately chased out of the shop by the cashier and the woman escaped in the cab.
The cabbie later told police he kicked the women out because they didn't have any money.
No arrests have been made.
