VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A family disagreement leads to three arrests and police finding 41 marijuana plants.

Around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, an Indiana State Police officer traveling eastbound on U.S. 40, near Seelyville, Indiana, was flagged down by a male by the side of the road.

According to police, the male informed police that he was battered by his son and daughter at his home nearby, the male appeared to have minor scrapes and cuts.

Police then went to the home to investigate and found that a family argument had happened earlier in the morning and that his son and daughter allegedly physically attacked him, causing his injuries.

During the police investigation, police also discovered 41 marijuana plants in the back yard of the home. All the plants were less than one foot in height.

Joshua Coons, 18, and Natasha Coons, 20, were arrested and charged with one count of domestic battery.

Sandra Coons, 41, was also arrested and was charged for possession of marijuana.

The marijuana plants were seized and due to their immaturity, a street value was not assessed.
