ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Audio recordings of the drunk driving arrest of racing legend Al Unser Junior shows his frame of mind when deputies clocked him doing more than 100 mph on Paseo Del Norte.
Unser Jr. was arrested in September after sheriff's deputies pulled him over at 3 a.m. for drag racing.
On the tapes, the deputy suspects the two-time Indy 500 winner is drunk but Unser denies it.
A DWI specialist is then called in for field sobriety tests.
He was arrested and taken for a breath test.
Deputies say Unser blew twice the legal limit.
His trial is set for March.
Unser plead guilty to DWI in 2007 in Nevada and lost his license for 90 days.
He was also drunk when he punched his girlfriend in rage a few years back.
