This week’s Team of the Week is the Angola girls basketball team. The Hornets are ranked no. 3 in this week’s 3A state poll. More impressively Angola hasn’t lost a game since falling in their season opener at 2A no. 2 Bishop Luers on November 8 – a streak of 19 wins in a row.

Angola beat Hamilton 64-9 last Friday to clinch at least a share of the NECC title. The Hornets can win the conference championship outright with a win at Fremont on Friday.

Angola is putting up over 57 points a night while giving up just 35 points per game.

The Hornets are coached by John Berger who is 38-6 in two years as Angola’s head coach.
