Tornado hits Tokyo Japan

One teen boy is killed

TOKYO (CBS) - A suspected tornado struck about 40 miles north of Tokyo on Sunday.  It tore through Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

A 14 year old boy was killed and forty other people were injured.  More than 100 homes were damaged in the storm.  Telephone poles and damaged cars were also left destroyed in its path.  Over 16 thousand homes were left without power after the storm hit.
