Snow shuts down parts of the UK

LONDON (WANE) - While 3 inches of snow might not sound like too much for us, in London it was a big deal.  Hundreds of flights were canceled and road crews reported over 900 car breakdowns an hour.

Other parts of the UK saw even more snow than London.  Portions of South Wales saw over a foot of snow.

While most Brits found the snow to be troublesome, some were excited.  Snow doesn’t fall very often in London so some people were out experiencing it.

Unfortunately for travelers, the forecast isn’t looking much better.  The UK is expected to see even more snow through the weekend.
