FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Live Doppler 15 Fury Weather Team, in conjunction with local emergency management officials, has compiled this list of local sandbag sites and information for when floods strike.

Each county/city has different policies regarding sandbag info.  Generally, county residents have a different sandbag pick up site than city residents.  However, in some areas, county and city governments work together to distribute sandbags.

Here's our current list of resources by county.  As of press time, emergency managers were still submitting the information for their local areas.  As new info comes in, it will be added below.

ALLEN COUNTY
For Fort Wayne/Allen County residents, sandbags are only available when flooding is occurring/or is likely to occur.  The service is not available year-round.

For Fort Wayne residents, sand and sandbags will be placed in neighborhoods where flood waters threaten.  Look for updates on wane.com to find the nearest location.

For Allen County residents, sandbags will be available in the county highway barns at 2234 Carroll Rd. and 8317 E. Tillman Rd.

Any questions about the availability of sandbags in Fort Wayne & Allen County should be directed to the Fort Wayne Allen County Department of Homeland Security at (260) 439-8300.

Adams County Solid Waste Management District
