Moderate drought level area expanded

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) According to the U .S . Drought Monitor, the D1, or moderate drought level, has expanded to cover much of Northeastern Indiana.

Indiana drought worsening after scant rainfall

As the dry weather continues, reports of grass fires throughout the area continue to be reported.

Several NE Indiana counties and cities have instituted burn bans or asked residents to limit burning activities.
