FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Dense fog has settled in for the night throughout northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

The National Weather Service in North Webster has issued a Dense Fog Advisory until 8 a.m. Tuesday. Visibility is expected to be less than a quarter-mile in most areas. The Fort Wayne Airport has reported visibility under a tenth-of-a-mile late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

Drivers should slow down, allow extra time, and use low-beam headlights.

The fog is expected to lift Tuesday morning before temperatures approach record-highs in the 60s.

The incoming rain has also prompted a Flood Watch until early Wednesday morning. The viewing area is under this weather alert due to elevated water tables, including watersheds, streams, and rivers.
