FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Patches of black ice on several roads complicated the morning commute Tuesday.
Fort Wayne Police Department Public Information Officer Raquel Foster reported via Facebook that the FWPD saw fifteen crashes within a one hour period on Tuesday morning. Foster attributed inappropriate speed for the road conditions as the primary cause in most accidents.
Light overnight snow and below-freezing temperatures caused patches of ice to form on several roads, especially on overpasses and bridges.
Several accidents were reported throughout Allen County.
