SEATTLE (CBS) - It was a night on the town with a different kind of dress code Friday (4/24). Partiers hit up Seattle, Washington’s hotspots decked out in their “Snuggies”.
A Snuggie is advertised on late-night television as a blanket with sleeves. It has become a pop culture phenomenon. “Snuggie Pub Crawl” events have popped up in cities across the nation.
In Seattle Friday (4/24) night, partiers donned the blanket for what they called the “Seattle Snuggie Crawl ‘09.” A string of bars opened their doors free for partiers decked out in a Snuggie. Those without a Snuggie had to pay full price.
The Seattle Snuggie Crawl was for a good cause. Partiers were asked to donate canned food to benefit a local food bank.
