MUNCIE, Ind. (WANE) - The daughter of Sarah Palin's old running mate was in Muncie on Monday night, the eve of the release of Palin's autobiography.
Meghan McCain, the daughter of Arizona Senator John McCain, is a
popular political blogger these days.
Monday, she was at Ball State talking to students about the
future of the Republican Party.
But before she did, NewsChannel 15 was the only Fort Wayne
station to catch up with her.
We asked for her thoughts on Sarah Palin's new book,
including Palin's claims in it that McCain's staffers muzzled her
during the campaign.
"I really want to read it first and hear exactly what she
says because I don't think it's fair for me to comment on things
that I've heard through journalists. I'd really like to hear from
the horse's mouth. I'm going to read it, though," said Meghan
McCain.
Meghan McCain also refused to say whether she thinks Palin would make a good president.
She says she did get to know Palin fairly well during the 2008
campaign.
