STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A Fremont woman was arrested Friday morning after police said she was involved in a hit and run accident.
Friday, around 1:30 a.m., a vehicle driven by Matthew Perry, 52, of Fremont was rear ended near the intersection of SR 127 and CR 400 N.
The vehicle that hit Perry’s vehicle left the scene.
Perry described the vehicle as a grey passenger car with extensive front end damage and no headlights.
A short time later, officers found a grey Toyota passenger car driving with no lights and the front bumper dragging on the ground on U.S. 20 in the area of the Silver Lake Trailer Park.
The damage on that vehicle was consistent with the damage to Perry’s vehicle.
Dana Moon, 22, of Fremont was driving the vehicle and police had probable cause to transport her to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office for a certified breath test.
Moon was later arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
