DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Two teens suffered head injuries when they were thrown from the off road vehicle they were riding after it hit a tree early Tuesday morning near Hamilton, Indiana.
According to Indiana Conservation Officers, the teens, both from Angola, were riding the vehicle on private property in the 0200 block of County Road 55 at about 1:30 a.m. when the 17-year-old driver missed a curve in a wooded area and hit a tree. The driver and his 15-year-old passenger were thrown from the vehicle.
They were taken by friends to Cameron Memorial Hospital in Angola for treatment of their injuries. The 17-year-old was later flown to a Fort Wayne hospital for further treatment.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
