MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (WANE) - Police were called to State Road 119 and Fleetwood Road just before 3 a.m. to a fatal car crash.

Officials say 27 year old Ryan Billenstein was driving the car at a high rate of speed. Police believe Billenstein was pulled over by Coldwater Police prior to the accident at 2:42 a.m. Police say the driver was given a warning for failure to drive in the correct lanes of travel.

At 2:58 a.m., police were dispatched to State Road 119 and Fleetwood Road.

Police say when they arrived, that's when they realized Billenstein lost control, went off the road, hit two trees and then the car burst into flames.

The front seat passenger, Marie Wentworth, 21, of Greenville, was taken to the hospital. The back seat passengers, Vincent A. Gragorace, 21, of Greenville, and Craig A. Gengler, 22, of Celina, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say Billenstein pulled Gengler out of the car after the accident.

Investigators say don't know if they were wearing seatbelts or if airbags were deployed due to the car catching fire.
