FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police believe speed and alcohol were factors in a crash on I-69 early Wednesday morning.
Around 1 a.m., police responded to the crash on the southbound I-69 exit ramp to westbound Illinois Road.
Officers found an SUV near the sound barrier with heavy damage. The male driver was located by an officer several hundred yards away hiding behind the sound barrier.
The man sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Police said the vehicle left the exit ramp and flipped several times before landing on all four wheels.
No other vehicles were involved and the exit remained open while officers investigated the crash.
The name of the driver has not been released.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
