Sour cream filled semi catches fire on toll road

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Firefighters in Steuben County battled a semi-trailer fire Monday night.

Around 11:30, firefighters were called to the Eastpoint of the Indiana Toll Road were they found a semi-trailer fully engulfed in flames.

Officials said fire spread throughout the cabin of the truck and the trailer. The vehicle was a total loss.

A department report said the tractor was carrying sour cream.

It took crews about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
