ST. JOE, Ind. (WANE) - Three people sustained minor injuries after the vehicle they were in rolled over Sunday evening.
According to a DeKalb County Sheriff's report, Vicki Richmond, 41, Butler, was traveling north on County Road 59 near County Road 52 when she moved over towards the shoulder to allow more passing room for an oncoming vehicle.
The report states Richmond dropped off the right side of the road into snow and slush. She then over-corrected and went left-of-center and down into a ditch across the road. The vehicle rolled onto its top approximately 20 feet from the road and came to a stop on its roof.
Richmond's two other passengers, Caitlin Richmond, 19, Butler, and Miranda Crowl, 17, St. Joe, were all able to get out of the vehicle before emergency personnel arrived.
The three were transported to Parkview Hospital where they were treated and released for their injuries.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
