NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  - Noble County Sheriff's Department dispatchers said a high-speed chase ended with a car crash Sunday afternoon.

According to the dispatcher, DeKalb County officers originally called the car in as a reckless driver. Officers couldn't catch the driver because of his speed.

The dispatcher said the driver was speeding at around 100 miles per hour. The suspect drove from east of Butler in DeKalb County to U.S. 6 and N 100 West near Wawaka in Noble County in about 15 minutes, she estimated. That is more than 30 miles.

The driver hit other vehicles during the chase, but the dispatcher said they were all property damage crashes with no injuries. A caller told NewsChannel 15 that she saw the suspect car pass her on U.S. 6 and she estimated the police car was two miles behind him.

The car chase ended when the suspect crashed his car just west of 100 West in Noble County around 12:17 p.m. Sunday., according to the dispatcher. She added Noble County, Kendallville, DeKalb County and Indiana State Police officers were all working crashes that the high-speed driver caused.

According to the State Police, Noble County officers arrested the suspect. No other information has been released about the chase at this time. NewsChannel 15 is working to find out more details.
