MARKLE, Ind. (WANE) - Police say an Adam's County squad car carrying two prisoners slid off of the icy roadway Tuesday morning.
According to police, the squad car slid off of I-69, just south of Markle, around 9:00 a.m. The car then crashed through a fence and landed in a field. The squad car's back window was blown out due to the crash.
Police said neither prisoner escaped after the accident. One prisoner went to the hospital with rib pain and officers took the other prisoner to the Huntington County jail.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
