LEO, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County Sheriff's Department is investigating a single vehicle crash in northern Allen County.
Around 12:30 Monday morning, residents in a home in the 9500 block of Schlatter Road called 911 after hearing a crash.
Arriving deputies found a pickup truck next to a tree.
The truck was traveling east on Schlatter Road when, for an unknown reason, it left the road and swiped a tree before coming to a stop in a small embankment.
The truck had heavy damage to the front right quarter panel and front windshield.
Sheriff's officers said the driver was taken to the hospital for possible head injuries.
Dense fog was in the area at the time of the crash. Police were not sure if the fog and a wet road were factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
