FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Police said a woman suffered minor injuries after she ran into the side of a semi truck at the intersection of Lima Road and Shoaff Road.
Officers at the scene said the woman was driving northbound on Shoaff Road Thursday morning when she attempted to cross the intersection at Lima Road and ran into the side of a semi truck.
The collision caused the semi to tip over.
According to police, the woman was taken to the hospital in fair condition. The driver of the semi truck was not injured and did not go to the hospital.
Police closed the northbound lanes of Lima Road for around 45 minutes Thursday morning while crews cleaned up the scene of the crash.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
