FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police think speed caused a man to crash his motorcycle Thursday afternoon.

Police say that around 2 p.m., Jyuan D. Davis, 31, of Fort Wayne, was crossing railroad tracks in the 2900 block of Nuttman Avenue.

Davis was apparently going too fast, lost control, and crashed. Medics rushed him to the hospital in critical condition with severe head trauma. He was not wearing a helmet. He remained hospitalized in critical condition on Friday morning.

Crews shut that section of Nuttman Avenue while they investigated.

The crash is being investigated by the the Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (F.A.C.T), City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
