DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A motorcycle accident involving a railroad crossing in DeKalb County left one man with injuries Sunday night.
Police said Brian Frye, 53, of Waterloo, was driving his Harley Davidson northbound on CR 27 from CR 28 at around 9:15 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle at the railroad crossing.
According to police, Frye was thrown from the motorcycle and the motorcycle was struck by an eastbound Norfolk Southern train.
Frye was taken to Parkview Regional by EMS and treated for his injuries.
Police said Frye suffered a broken leg and cuts to his head and arm. Nobody else was injured in the crash.
DeKalb County Sheriff's Department was assisted by Waterloo Marshall’s Dept., Norfolk Southern Railroad Police, Waterloo Fire, and EMS personnel.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
