CROMWELL, Ind. (WANE) - Indiana Conservation Officers said a man was injured after he was thrown from a snowmobile Saturday afternoon.
Officials said Michael Holcomb, 46, of Cromwell, was driving westbound near County Road 900 W., north of Cromwell Road, when he hit a snow covered embankment going nearly 30 miles per hour.
Holcomb was thrown from the snowmobile and sustained head injuries. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.
Holcomb was taken to Kosciusko County Community Hospital in Warsaw after the crash, according to officers.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
