Man dies in North Manchester crash

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. (WANE) - A man from Indianapolis died in a single-vehicle crash in North Manchester Sunday afternoon.
Police said it happened around 3:31 p.m. on SR 13N. For some reason James Hoover, 84, of Indianapolis, went off the south side of the road. Officers said Hoover hit a mailbox and traffic barriers before coming to a stop on the railroad embankment.
Hoover was pronounced dead at the scene. It's not clear what caused Hoover to go off the side of the road. No other information about the crash was released.
