DEFIANCE COUNTY, Ohio (WANE) - A two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon hurt three people. One woman was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 1 p.m. on State Route 15, west of Schubert Road.

Brenda Michel, 57, of Ottawa, Ohio, was going west and Makayla McAvoy, 18, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, was traveling east. Their two vehicles hit head-on on a curve in the road. The police media release didn't indicate which driver crossed the center line.

Michel was flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne in critical condition. A juvenile in her car and McAvoy were transported to Defiance Mercy Hospital. Their conditions aren't known.

The crash is still under investigation.
