VAN WERT County, OHIO (WANE) - One woman is dead and two were injured in a car accident in Ridge Township Sunday morning.
Officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol say Geneva Lambert, 90, of Middle Point, was stopped at the intersection of Chenowith Road and Lincoln Highway. Lisa Hundley, 32, was driving east on Lincoln Highway when the vehicle went off the road and struck Lambert's vehicle.
Lambert's vehicle hit a telephone pole, while Hundley and her passenger, 13, continued into a cornfield before coming to a stop.
Lambert was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Hundley and her 13 year old passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities say everyone was wearing a seat beat.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
