Elderly woman dies in single-car crash

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Whitley County police responded to a single-vehicle crash on CR 500 S. Saturday afternoon.
Police said it happened near the intersection of CR 500 S and CR 800 W around 2:45 p.m. Donna Rose, 73, was driving west on CR 500 S when for some reason her car went off the road and hit a tree.
The Whitley County Sheriff's Department said Rose died at the scene.
What caused Rose to go off the road is still under investigation.
