FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A driver heading north on I-69 near Goshen Road crashed into a construction sign around 12:30 Friday morning.
Fort Wayne police said the driver told them he fell asleep.
The sign, which was sitting on the left shoulder warning motorists of upcoming construction, ended up on the right shoulder facing the opposite direction after the impact.
The driver was not hurt.
Debris from the pickup truck and sign were scattered all over the road, some debris ending up in the southbound lanes.
I-69 northbound was closed just north of Goshen Road for about an hour while Fort Wayne firefighters cleaned up the mess.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
