Driver runs red light, hits pedestrian

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police are investigating an accident involving several vehicles and a woman who was hit by a truck that ran a red light.

Just after 8 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to Clinton Street and Creighton Avenue near downtown for an accident.

According to police, a truck ran a red light and struck two other vehicles. The force of the impact caused the truck to spin out and hit a woman who was on the sidewalk.

The woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital in fair condition. The two drivers in the other vehicles were not hurt.

The names of all involved have not been released.

The accident remains under investigation.
