WARSAW, Ind. (WANE) -- One westbound lane on U.S. 30 near Warsaw is still closed after two semis crashed and spilled adhesives in the area early Thursday morning.

According to the Warsaw Police Department, the crash happened around 6:18 a.m. on U.S. 30, just east of Parker Street in Kosciusko County.

Police said when a semi driver either slowed or stopped while headed west on U.S. 30, she was rear-ended by a double-semi following behind.

The impact caused the double semi to roll over into a ditch and spill the adhesives it was carrying onto the roadway.

Police said the semi driver who was hit, Sharon Zakro, 42, of Niles, Michigan was sent to Kosciusko County Hospital with minor injuries. She was treated and released.

The driver of the double semi, Horacio Rodriguez, 40, of Calumet City, Illinois, was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne where he is currently in serious condition.

As of 11:30 a.m., the lane was still closed on U.S. 30 for Indiana Department of Environmental Management workers to clean up the spilled adhesives.

Police did not have an estimated time on how long it would take IDEM workers to complete the work.
