NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A one-car crash left two people injured early Saturday morning.
Police said Matthew Hayes, 22, of Kendallville, was driving eastbound on 1150 N. east of 375 E. at around 3:45 a.m. when he lost control of his car, causing the car to leave the road and roll several times. The car then hit a tree and landed on its side.
Police said Hayes was able to climb out of the car through the windshield, but his passenger, Angelica Garcia, 21, of Kendallville, had to be extricated.
Garcia was flown by Samaritan to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Hayes was taken to Parkview Noble.
According to police, Garcia suffered from neck, head, and back injures. Hayes suffered from back and neck injuries.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
