Vehicle crashes into Fort Wayne house

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police said a vehicle hit a house in the 1600-block of Hillside Ave. around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

There was a lot of damage to one corner of the house. No one was home at the time. Officers at the scene said the driver took off after the crash.

Right now it's not clear why the driver hit the home. A neighbor saw the vehicle drive off, but police have not released a vehicle description yet.

The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
