FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne police are investigating a two-car crash downtown early Monday morning.
Just before 3:30 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of Lafayette Street and East Wayne Street for a crash that ended with one car smashing through the windows of a downtown building.
Police said an SUV was traveling north on Lafayette when it collided with a car traveling east on Wayne.
Officers at the scene said both drivers stated they had a green light.
Neither driver was injured and no other vehicles were involved.
The building, occupied by Hartford Glass of Fort Wayne, was heavily damaged. Several windows were shattered as the car ended up partially into the building.
Debris and fluids littered parts of the intersection where the impact first occurred.
Police believe alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
