DALEVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- At least three people have died when an SUV left a rural eastern Indiana road and rolled over, ejecting several occupants.
Delaware County dispatcher Adam Garrett confirmed the three fatalities from the single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near the town of Daleville, about 40 miles northeast of Indianapolis. He says surviving passengers were taken to several hospitals.
The Star Press of Muncie reports at least one of the victims was a child. It says two adults and four children were in the SUV when it left a county road, struck large boulders and flipped over. It says the crash ejected several occupants from the vehicle and trapped others.
Other details were not immediately available.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
