A multiple-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of I-469 near Maplecrest Road shut down the interstate for several exits on Wednesday morning.
I-469 northbound was closed between exits 25 and 29; drivers were re-routed off off exit 25 onto Maysville Road (U.S. 37).
Officers on the scene said four semis and seven passenger cars were involved in the accident on I-469 near Maplecrest Road before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Two semi's jack-knifed on the bridge over Maplecrest Road and the other nine vehicles crashed as result, according to police.
Police said there were only minor injuries but one woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
At the time of the crash, Indiana State Police suggested that drivers "seek an alternate route of travel and adjust their driving behavior according to the road and weather conditions."
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
