FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Northbound I-69 has reopened after a crash caused traffic to back up during Tuesday's evening commute.
Fort Wayne police responded to I-69 near mile marker 304 a little before 5:00 p.m. That's the area of the Illinois Road interchange. Dispatchers said they worked accidents at both the 304 mile marker, and the 305 mile marker in the northbound lanes of I-69. There were no injuries reported. Dispatchers said police had reopened the northbound lanes by about 7:30 p.m.
Heavy snow caused roads to become slippery just as traffic increased at the end of the work day. There are no reports of any serious injuries.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has made it easy to check road conditions around the state.
