Driver hits utility pole, flees scene

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A viewer used Report !t to send NewsChannel 15 pictures of the damage left behind near the 7000 block of Bluffton Road after a driver fled the scene of an accident.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, a car traveling north on Bluffton Rd. tried to pass another vehicle but spun out and hit a utility pole.

The driver left the scene. Witnesses that had been driving behind the suspect vehicle followed the driver, Dimichael Figgs, 21, of Fort Wayne, until a county unit arrested him nearby.

Figgs faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident and for driving while suspended.

There are no injuries and no other vehicles were involved.
