The driver of the motorcycle, Edward Leverton, was thrown off his motorcycle and onto the van's windshield. The passenger of the motorcycle, Lonnie Leverton, was also thrown off.

Neither was wearing a helmet and officials said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The driver of the van, William Hoverman, was uninjured.
