FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - This week's Team of the Week is the North Side boys basketball team.
North Side won the SAC title this past Friday night thanks to a 72-65 victory over Bishop Dwenger. The Redskins, Concordia, and Northrop all finished 5-2 in SAC play. However, due to head-to-head wins over both the Cadets and Bruins it was North Side winning the tie-breaker and claiming the SAC crown.
The Redskins are currently riding a six-game winning streak and are 11-5 overall this season.
North Side is coached by Shabaz Khaliq, who is 33-24 in three years at the school.
The Redskins play South Bend Washington on Saturday.
