GARRETT, Ind. (WANE) - This week's Team of the Week is the Garrett football team. The Railroaders have won five in a row and are 6-1 on the season. That includes a 42-14 win over South Adams last Saturday down in Muncie.
The Railroaders are putting up 32 points a game and giving up just 21. They are 4-0 in ACAC and sit tied atop the conference standings with Leo. The Railroaders and Lions will clash Friday night at Memorial Field in a game that will go a long way in determining who wins the conference title.
Garrett is under the leadership of Chris DePew who is in his first year as the head coach at Garrett. A Garrett grad, DePew took over for Ron Frickey who retired from coaching.
