Carroll boys ranked fifth in latest state poll

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - After starting the season winning four of five meets in addition to moving up to fifth in the latest state rankings, the Carroll boys swim & dive team earns the Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network Team of the Week honors.

In addition to the Chargers high team ranking, a few individuals have posted some of the best times in the state this year.

Senior Blaine Nichols, who recently signed to swim at Indiana University, ranks among the state's best in the 200 Free (26th), the 200 IM (6th) and the 100 Breaststroke (5th),

Another senior, Grant Music, is also among the tops in the state in the 50 Free (32nd) and 100 Breaststroke (7th).

The Chargers relay teams are a staple amongst the state's best in the 200 Medley Relay (6th), the 200 Free (5th) and the 400 Free Relay (10th).

Carroll will have plenty of time to prepare for the NHC conference meet as the Chargers don't have any meets until then which is three weeks away.
