Jam Snaps Fort Wayne's Winning Streak

BAKERSFIELD, Calif - Six Jam players scored in double figures as Bakersfield beat Fort Wayne 126-115 on Friday night at the Dignity Health Event Center. Renaldo Major led the Jam with a team-high 21 points and seven rebounds.
 
Major and Jerel McNeal paced the Jam in the first quarter as they each scored 10 points and each grabbed four rebounds to give Bakersfield a 33-30 lead after one period of play. Great execution, ball movement, and defensive effort elevated Bakersfield’s play and extended their lead to double digits to end the first half (65-54). The Jam shot 54% from the field in the first half and continued their hot shooting in the second half as they stretched their lead to as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter. Bakersfield shot over 50% in every quarter and scored a season-high 126 points. The Jam improve to 14-7 on the season, while Fort Wayne’s eight-game winning streak comes to an end and fall to 11-11.    
 
The Jam had all five starters score in double figures. Brian Butch scored 19 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals while Diante Garrett (Phoenix Suns assignee) recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists in his first start with the Jam. McNeal also scored 18 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists. Adam Koch posted 14 points and nine rebounds while Shan Foster contributed 12 points off the bench.
 
The Mad Ants were led by Luke Harongody (26 points, 11 rebounds), Anthony Richardson (26 points) and Tony Mitchell (24 points). Indiana Pacers assignee Miles Plumlee recorded a double-double off the bench with 10 points and 12 rebounds while reserve guard Sadiel Rojas tallied 10 points.
