According to CBSSports.com the Chicago White Sox have acquired for TinCaps outfielder Blake Tekotte.
The Padres will get a player to be named later in the trade. San Diego designated Tekotte for assignment last week.
The 25-year old Tekotte hit just .163 in 55 plate appearances for the Padres in two seasons.
He helped lead the TinCaps to the Midwest League championship in 2009 when he hit .258 with 13 home runs and 30 stolen bases.
