Former Harding High School and IU standout Dre Muhammad is getting a crack at the NFL. According to the Bloomington Herald Times, Muhammad is set to sign a contract with the Oakland Raiders.
The former Hoosier hauled in 26 catches for 238 yards last season and went undrafted in April. Still, his speed (he ran a 4.42 40-yard dash) was enough to entice the Raiders to give him a call earlier this week and invite him to training camp.
A 2007 graduate of Harding, Muhammad was named All-State as a senior when he totaled more than 1,200 receiving yards.
The Raiders first preseason game is against the Dallas Cowboys on August 13th.
