HOUSTON, Feb. 14, 2013 – Two top prospects were today announced as replacements in the 2013 NBA Development League All-Star Game, which will air live on NBA TV at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Sprint Arena at NBA All-Star Jam Session at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center.  On the Futures team, Tony Mitchell (Fort Wayne Mad Ants) will replace Jeremy Lamb (Tulsa 66ers), while Chris Wright (Iowa Energy) will replace Terrence Jones (Rio Grande Valley Vipers) on the Prospects roster.

Lamb, who was playing with the 66ers on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Jones, who was playing with the Vipers on assignment from the Houston Rockets, have both been recalled by their NBA teams and are ineligible to play in the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star Game by virtue of not being on an active NBA D-League roster.

Mitchell (6-6, 216, Alabama) joins Ron Howard as members of the Mad Ants playing in the 2013 NBA D-League All-Star game.  In 30 games, 27 starts, for the Mad Ants, Mitchell is averaging 18.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 34.4 minutes.  He has scored 20 or more points in 15 games and has recorded three point-rebound double-doubles.

Wright (6-1, 210, Georgetown) has appeared in 28 games, all starts, for Iowa this season, averaging 14.4 points, 7.2 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 37.3 minutes.  He has recorded three point-assist double-doubles and has scored 20 or more points six times.

Additionally, James Mays (Maine Red Claws) and Arinze Onuaku (Canton Charge) have switched places on the rosters, such that Mays, who was traded from the Springfield Armor to the Red Claws earlier this week, will play with his new Maine teammates on the Futures team and Onuaku will play on the Prospects team.

The original 20 NBA D-League All-Stars were selected by a vote of the League’s 16 head coaches.

The seventh annual NBA D-League All-Star Game will be preceded by the 2013 Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three Point Contest, and will host the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest during halftime of the game.
