FORT WAYNE, IN. - It took penalty kicks, but Indiana dispatched of Chivas in the final match of the 2012 Shindigz National Soccer Festival 5-4.
The Hoosiers took an early lead in the first half, before Chivas netted the equalizer off a header in the closing minute of the first. Both played to a stalemate after the break, though both had several chances to score.
Chivas took an early lead in penalty kicks for Hoosiers goalie Luis Soffner made back-to-back saves on the second and third shots he faced. Jacob Bushue burried his first attempt on net to secure the win for IU.
