FORT WAYNE (WANE) - The Summit City Sluggers held their "Sluggers Day" at Homestead high school on Tuesday night with the goal of raising money to donote to the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
Tonight's event featured a silent auction as well as a brief ceremony honoring several breast cancer survivors.
The Summit City Sluggers, a travel baseball organization for players ages 12 through 17, played from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Sluggers boast professional alumni Jarrod Parker, Kevin Kiermaier, and Scott Woodward.
