BLUFFTON, IN. - Generations of Norwell football alumni gathered on Wednesday night at Timber Ridge Golf Course to pay tribute to 40 years of Knights football. Perhaps the greatest player to ever come out of the program - Chandler Harnish - was the guest of honor.

The Colts rookie quarterback was on hand signing autographs, catching up with old friends and talking with other greats from Norwell's past. A member of the 2006 Knights team that finished 14-1 and lost in the state championship game, Harnish went onto a record-breaking career at Northern Illinois. This past April, he was selected by the Colts as the final pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, earning him the moniker Mr. Irrelevant.

For now, it seems as though Harnish has bucked the trend of his give nickname, as he is currently one of three signal callers on the Colts roster entering training camp and has signed a deal with the team. Harnish and his teammates report to training camp on July 29th.
